I like to adjust my table decor according to the season—it just adds more to the overall vibe I’m trying to create. This year, I found myself torn between two very different aesthetics: an all-pink look with peonies, and a minimalist cottagecore theme. But which one should I choose? Shall i decorate my whole home into one aesthetic? Do I really have to choose? Whenever it’s time to decorate my home, I always turn to my number one source of inspiration: Pinterest. When I can’t decide on a vibe, I like to create little mood boards on Pinterest or even just gather things around the house and see what clicks together.
So I started browsing through inspo pics for both styles. I loved elements of each and just couldn’t choose… I know I’m probably not normal thinking about days of two different aesthetics but i’m a Libra, i always like to choose the best option so i think carefully before i commit( that’s why the say we’re indecisive).Luckily, the solution came quickly to my mind: who said i can’t do both aesthetics. They’re different, but together, they balance each other out—calm and romantic, like two sides of the same story. But for me, it feels like a reflection of how I balance different aspects of my personalitySome days, I like to embrace my girly side and embody that pink, romantic princess aesthetic. Other days, I feel like a forest fairy in white embroidered skirts. But then I always realize that my true colors are actually black and burgundy—but I’ll get into that later.
When it comes to decoration, I don’t like to overcomplicate things. For me, spring decor usually starts with flowers, and then I often add a few candles. Of course, if you’re looking for more, the possibilities are endless. Stores are full of Easter-themed decor elements. Perhaps the most versatile are the little white ceramic bunnies. They fit perfectly into any aesthetic. Another universal decor element are painted eggs. Whether you buy decorative eggs from a store or unleash your creativity to make your own, these can really elevate any table setting.

The question might arise: does that mean you need a new tablecloth, decor elements, and everything else for every season? Of course not. I definitely don’t want you to feel like you need to spend money on these things every three months. Once you have the basics, you can easily create a table setting for any season with just a few small adjustments.
One of the most important elements of table decor is the plates. It’s worth investing in a simple, minimalist white set, as it’s highly versatile. You can get creative with different tablecloths, but if you’re looking for a four-season solution, grab a plain linen piece—it will be the perfect base for all sorts of decor styles. The extra touches will come from the different table runners for example: burgundy in winter, light yellow in spring, pink in summer, and brown in autumn.

Cottagecore table decor
For the cottagecore setup, I went with neutral tones, lots of linen, and delicate embroidered pieces. It’s cozy, calm, and just the right amount of rustic. I started with a table runner—an old hand-embroidered one I’ve had at home for years. Since it’s spring, I added a touch of fresh greenery and some daisies to bring in that seasonal charm. For spring decor, I definitely like to use light colors, which is why I usually place the flowers in a white ceramic vase which lets the flowers really stand out, drawing attention to their beauty, without clashing with other decor elements.
I also had a few empty jars lying around, so I popped in some little candles and placed them down the center of the table. Simple, but it really brought everything together. If you want, you can add some vintage tableware or wooden elements too—they pair beautifully with the cottagecore vibe. But don’t worry, you don’t need to spend half your salary on spring decor. Just use what you already have and get a little creative!

Pink peonies inspired table decor
I’m not usually that pink, Barbie, girly-girl type—but this spring, peonies and those soft light pink hues totally captivated me. There was a specific pink candle that kept popping up on my Pinterest feed, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
So for the coffee table in the living room, I decided to lean into my romantic side . It felt like the perfect spot to bring in those romantic, blush-toned touches.I wanted the space to feel like the first warm breeze after winter—soft, floral, and light.Usually I start with one key item , then I just build everything around that. I try not to overthink it—just follow what feels good. This time, the starting point was simple—a pink candle and a vase of peonies. I didn’t overcomplicate it. I just grabbed a few of my most aesthetic-looking books and stacked them on the coffee table. That little combo already made the whole space feel more put together and intentional.
